Q: What denomination is Freedom House Church?
A: Freedom House Church is a non-denominational church. Our pastors are ordained through Open Bible Faith Fellowship (OBFF) - a grouping of like-minded churches. Though OBFF provides support to it's members, each church maintains its own focus, and functions autonomously.
At Freedom House, we believe that the Word of God (the Bible) provides a full picture of the church and, through the guidance of Holy Spirit, we seek to embody this picture in all we do. More information on our church is found in the About Us section of this website.
Q: How do I get to Freedom House?
A: Click here for details.
Q: When should I arrive for the Sunday Service?
A: Our service typically begins at 10:15am. Coffee is served before the service, and parking attendants are on-site to assist you when you arrive. Feel free to come a few minutes early to find your seat!
Q: What is the service like?
A: Our services could be described as charismatic. We invite everyone to join in a time of worship before the message (sermon) is delivered. The lyrics to our worship songs are displayed on a screen so even if you aren't familiar with the songs, you can participate. A time of greeting each other is also had where each can bring their tithes and offerings. Visitors are not to feel obligated to give; we believe this is a way for church members to sow into (contribute to) what God is doing at Freedom House Church. Lastly, at the end of the service, anyone who would like specific prayer is welcome to come forward as the congregation disperses.
Following our church services, we share a full meal together. Feel free to stick around after the service for food and a chance to get to get to know others just like you!
Q: What should I wear?
A: You’ll see most people in our church dressed in casual or business casual clothing - from (knee-length) skirts/dresses to jeans, and from shirts and ties to t-shirts. We would like you to be comfortable at Freedom House, so feel free to dress as you see fit.
Q: What if I have children?
A: Awesome! We offer children's programs at Freedom House church for those aged 0-11. Older children are welcome to join us for our full service. See our children's ministry page for more detailed information.
Q: What should I bring?
A: Since our Pastor preaches from the Word of God, feel free to bring along your Bible. Don't have one? Don't worry - we do have some extras lying around, and our Pastor often prepares a Powerpoint presentation to accompany his message so that key notes will be displayed on our screens. If you like to jot down notes while someone speaks, you are encouraged to bring a pen & paper. Also, feel free to bring a friend!
